Clade Song 3

The Insomniac

I would try or do
anything to keep
my senses awake,

enter the eyewall
of native turbulence
and locomotion,

mire myself within
upswell and indraw
and the capacitor-flanks

of raw exposed beginning
between land and cumuli,
infuse myself in the

rush and watersprawl
of flash fill and flood,
efface any soft weakness

in material or constituent,
step onto a heaving bed
of white tidal rockmelt,

or give myself blackly
and overwhelmingly
to a faceless predator.
